GLOBAL STUDENT RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR - AUSTRALIA (COLLEGE & ONSHORE)

About the Role

Reporting to the Director Global Student Recruitment, this position is responsible for recruiting international students from onshore Australia and coordinating the implementation of a recruitment strategy for UOW College Australia.

  • Implement annual student recruitment plans that strategically target all onshore agents.
  • Effectively service all onshore agents for UOWA and UOWCA to deliver required results.
  • Implement an annual student recruitment plan that delivers required results for all UOWCA academic and English programs.
  • While working with UOWCA and a dedicated In-country team promoting the UOWCA, coordinate recruitment activities that includes agent management and conversions from key source markets for the College.
  • Deliver intelligence on key international markets for UOWCA. This includes market trends; perceptions of UOWCA and its products.
  • Work with Global Student Recruitment Digital Engagement Manager to coordinate delivery of UOWCA specific communication to agents and future students.
  • Work closely with the UOWCA Admissions and compliance teams to ensure offer letters are issued in a timely and market competitive manner.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Sound knowledge of the issues impacting the recruitment and admission of international students onshore in Australia from recruitment agents.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent presentation skills and the ability to confidently promote UOW and UOW College.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills with experience in managing multiple stakeholders and the ability to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with a diverse range of clients, including potential students, agents, key partners, institutional representatives at all levels of seniority, sponsors, government officials and/or distributors with the objective of increasing business to the organisation.
  • Effective time management skills with the demonstrated ability to work well under pressure within a team, in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of international students experience and decision drivers for prospective students.

Essential Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding and track record in student recruitment within tertiary education environment, specifically with agents.
  • Relevant experience in a student recruitment, sales or a customer service role with the ability to work towards recruitment targets with a strong understanding of recruitment cycle and recruitment timelines.
  • Relevant Bachelor degree or equivalent experience and professional development.

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in one or more foreign languages; ideally Mandarin.
