About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at GREATLAND RESOURCES' as an Entry-Level Gold-Copper Mining Technician. Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating the mining equipment at our state-of-the-art mining facility located in Perth, WA 6000. This full-time position offers excellent opportunities for career development and growth within the dynamic Mining, Resources & Energy industry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Performing routine maintenance and inspections on mining equipment such as excavators, haul trucks, and drilling rigs
  2. Operating various mining machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  3. Identifying and reporting any technical issues or malfunctions to the Mining Supervisor
  4. Participating in site safety and training programs to ensure compliance with industry regulations
  5. Collaborating with the mining team to optimize productivity and efficiency
  6. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to equipment performance and maintenance

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant technical or vocational qualifications in mining, engineering, or a related field
  2. Experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy machinery and equipment, preferably in a mining or construction environment
  3. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical issues
  4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
  5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions
  6. Willingness to work in a dynamic and challenging mining environment
