Role Overview

The Process Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring the mineral processing plant to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. This includes working across crushing, grinding, leaching, and recovery circuits depending on the plant setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate plant equipment including crushers, mills, leach tanks, thickeners, and gold recovery systems
  • Monitor plant performance and respond to alarms or deviations
  • Conduct routine sampling and basic lab tests (e.g., pH, density, gold recovery)
  • Assist with troubleshooting and minor maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate shift logs and production records
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in mineral processing (gold or copper preferred)
  • Certificate III in Resource Processing or equivalent (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of plant operations and safety protocols
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in remote FIFO environments
