Marketing & Content Assistant (Contract / Casual)

Location: Remote (Australia-based preferred)

Hours: Approx. 5–10 hours/week to start, with room to grow

About Balance & Bite

Balance & Bite is a dietitian-led, non-diet, neuro-affirming practice helping smart, busy humans (especially ADHDers) calm the chaos around food, body image, and health.

We're growing fast. Between new courses, programs, 1:1 clients, and a buzzing online community, there's a lot of exciting content to share… we need help getting it out into the world consistently.

What you'll be doing

You'll be working directly with our Marketing Manager to help plan, create, and schedule content that keeps Balance & Bite's social channels consistent and growing.

Your weekly tasks

  • Content creation: use tools like Canva and Capcut to create reels, carousels, and posts (we'll provide the style guide + assets).
  • Scheduling: Manage and plan posts across Instagram, Facebook, and email (Later, Meta Suite, or similar).
  • Repurposing: Take longer content (emails, blog posts, workshops) and turn it into engaging short-form content.
  • Analytics: Track engagement and help identify what's working and provide suggestions based on trends etc.
  • Collaboration: Join weekly content planning calls and brainstorm campaigns, launches, and stories.

(There's no expectation for you to be on camera however if you're happy to show your face to support our growing brand, that's a big bonus)

Who you are

  • Have at least 1 years experience in a marketing assistant role or similar
  • An organised and reliable self-starter who loves content and creativity.
  • Have experience and confidence using with Canva, Instagram, TikTok and video editing software
  • Can write captions and copy that feel warm, real, and human
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently
  • Interested in health, psychology, ADHD, or body image topics (bonus if you already follow the non-diet or neurodiversity space).
  • Able to take direction and feedback while bringing your own creative ideas to the table.
