The Club owns the Stellar Canberra building in Phillip, home to The Southern Cross Health Club and Stellar Swim, as well as multiple Anytime Fitness franchises. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Bar Supervisor based in Canberra. The Bar Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the bar, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining inventory levels. Other duties include training new employees, implementing health and safety procedures, and coordinating with the kitchen and other departments to ensure service efficiency. The role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory Skills: Experience in managing and leading a team in a hospitality setting.
  • Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries or issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and customers.
  • Food & Beverage: Knowledge of bar operations, beverage preparation, and food safety standards.
  • Training: Ability to train new employees and ensure ongoing staff development.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Relevant certifications in hospitality or beverage management are a plus.
