This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Job Description
The
Head of Marketing
is responsible for the development and oversight of strategic initiatives that drive growth and awareness of Leafio's offering within the pharmacy sector in Australia.

This role will lead the refinement and execution of the marketing strategy with a focus on growth, acquisition, retention, and brand recognition. Managing a high-performing team of marketing and creative specialists, the Head of Marketing will provide strong leadership, direction, and support to ensure the delivery of measurable business outcomes.

The role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a critical part in shaping Leafio's market presence and continued growth.

Strategy & Execution

  • Refine and optimise the marketing strategy with a focus on customer growth, acquisition, and retention.
  • Set and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of spend and measurable ROI across all channels.
  • Use data-driven insights to track performance, measure the effectiveness of growth initiatives, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Monitor market dynamics, emerging trends, and competitor activity to adjust strategies proactively.
  • Define, own, and deliver on departmental and individual OKRs linked to growth and revenue outcomes.

Lead Generation & Conversion

  • Drive lead generation initiatives in collaboration with sales, ensuring seamless lead conversion.
  • Develop and implement lead nurturing strategies to guide prospects through the funnel.
  • Partner with the product team to optimise Leafio's eCommerce platform, including CRO, performance marketing, and digital advertising.

Retention

  • Partner with the CRM Manager to deliver a comprehensive retention strategy including segmentation, personalisation, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Oversee customer engagement and loyalty initiatives to maximise retention and LTV.
  • Foster collaboration with product, customer support, and sales to deliver an exceptional customer experience at every touchpoint.

Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development and delivery of Leafio's campaign calendar in alignment with commercial and revenue goals.
  • Oversee channel strategy, assessing effectiveness and testing new opportunities.
  • Ensure creation of compelling, brand-aligned messaging and content tailored to pharmacy audiences.

Brand Management

  • Shape and strengthen the Leafio brand to ensure consistent positioning and differentiation in the pharmacy market.
  • Implement initiatives that build brand equity and enhance market visibility.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Measure and analyse marketing effectiveness using relevant analytics tools and metrics.
  • Provide leadership with regular insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.
  • Partner with data analysts to optimise marketing reporting and leverage insights for continuous improvement.

People Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team with clear roles, goals, and accountability.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to team members.
  • Set and track team OKRs and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sales to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, providing enablement tools and collateral.
  • Collaborate with Montu Brands' marketing leadership to optimise brand campaigns and performance.
  • Work closely with product and technology teams to ensure prioritisation and delivery of mutual projects.

Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 8+ years in senior B2B marketing roles, with a proven track record of delivering growth.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working within or adjacent to the pharmacy sector, with strong understanding of its dynamics.
  • Retention Expertise: Demonstrated success in designing and executing customer retention and loyalty initiatives.
  • Data-Driven: Highly skilled in using analytics and data insights to inform decisions, measure ROI, and drive optimisation.
  • People Leadership: Strong experience in building, coaching, and leading high-performing marketing teams.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively partner with internal stakeholders and external collaborators.
  • Creativity & Problem-Solving: Proven ability to develop innovative, customer-centric marketing approaches.
  • Project Management: Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
