Our client is a market leader in retail and interior lifestyle solutions, with an ever-growing network of showrooms. As part of our expansion strategy, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Store Manager to take the lead at one of our high-performing flagship showrooms located in Sydney's Lower North Shore.

About the Role:

As Store Manager, you will take full ownership of your showroom—leading a passionate sales team, driving business performance, and creating a retail environment where every customer interaction reflects the premium Plush experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Performance:

  • Lead from the front—setting daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and actively coaching the team to exceed targets.
  • Leverage in-depth product knowledge to guide customers through a consultative sales process, promoting customised solutions and value-added services.
  • Analyse sales performance data and implement strategies to optimise individual and team results.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the showroom.

Team Development & Coaching:

  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members with a focus on product knowledge, consultative selling, and customer service excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team briefings to align with business goals.
    Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment where growth, collaboration, and innovation are encouraged.

Customer Experience & Brand Representation:

  • Champion the Plush in-store experience by ensuring every customer receives exceptional, personalised service.
  • Respond to customer feedback and resolve any escalated issues with empathy and professionalism.
    Represent the Plush brand with pride, ensuring your team delivers on our promise of quality, comfort, and care.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the showroom, ensuring processes are efficient and aligned with company standards.
  • Maintain showroom presentation in line with visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring every product is displayed to inspire and delight.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company operational policies.
    Liaise with regional and national leadership teams to roll out new initiatives and ensure alignment with broader company goals.

About You:

We're looking for a confident and experienced leader who understands the balance between sales performance, team development, and customer satisfaction. You are commercially driven, but equally passionate about people and culture.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a high-value or considered purchase environment (e.g., furniture, bedding, luxury retail, jewellery, automotive, or travel).
  • A natural motivator with a track record of driving sales performance through coaching and team development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Highly organised, results-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic retail setting.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service at every opportunity.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a solutions-focused mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    A genuine interest in interior design, furniture, or lifestyle products is a plus.
