We are seeking a motivated and proactive Accountant to join our Finance team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of project financials, while contributing to the overall success of our operations.

General tasks and duties include:

  • Preparing and submitting monthly project claims to clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Confidently managing the end-of-month (EOM) process, including GL reviews, accruals, and cost allocations.
  • Proactively leading finance hygiene by monitoring open purchase orders and supporting site administrators.
  • Analysing and reporting variances in expenditure and production metrics.
  • Preparing contracts, processing claims, and providing financial guidance to contract managers.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders and the Golding legal team, to support effective decision-making.

Personal attributes and experience:

  • Degree in Finance (or equivalent)
  • CPA/CA qualified, or currently studying towards
  • Previous accounting experience in a project-based business.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system skills (SAP preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with site managers and colleagues.
