What You'll Do

  • Lead with Vision: Drive strategic planning across built infrastructure and natural asset portfolios, ensuring alignment with long-term community goals.
  • Inspire and Empower: Lead a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage and Influence: Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, industry leaders, and the community to co-create impactful outcomes.
  • Deliver with Purpose: Translate complex challenges into actionable strategies that enhance liveability, resilience, and sustainability.

What We're Looking For

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated leadership in infrastructure or natural asset planning, with a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver strategic outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycle planning, asset management principles, and sustainability frameworks.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of successful collaboration across government, industry, and community sectors.
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive innovation.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban or Regional Planning, or a related discipline.

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure planning, asset management, or capital works delivery.

  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policy frameworks, and planning standards.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, project management, or public administration.

  • Experience in local government or regional development contexts.
