Role details

The Physiotherapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Physiotherapist (Emergency Department) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

To deliver high level comprehensive physiotherapy clinical skills and leadership, to provide effective and efficient treatment across the Emergency Department clinical areas, to client groups within the district, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities.

About the Team

Our Physiotherapy Service delivers care to patients, both adults and children, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Physiotherapists aim to restore a person's function, maximising their mobility and health and minimising their dysfunction. Treatment is tailored to each individual and is based on the patient's needs.

MBH Emergency Department is a mixed Emergency Department with an approximate 48000 emergency presentations per year across all age demographics. The ED manages all ATS categories of adult and paediatric patients including major trauma, mental health and acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions.
