Key Responsibilities
Plan and orchestrate creative and effective marketing campaigns for clients
Maintain and improve client and brand integrity in the marketplace
Drive performance of a marketing team and meet KPIs
Work for the greater good of the company and it's clients by implementing company policy
and contributing to the development of improved strategies and processes.
- Deliver high value service to client base
You will set the standard expected by the company and the client so that all team members
have a clear understanding of what is expected from them to represent and improve the
client's brand and image. You will reinforce company policy to all team members on a
regular basis. You are responsible for each campaign to which you are allocated, to ensure
all team members maintain high levels of integrity and remain focussed on client objectives
and brand. You will protect existing company and client brand value and ensure that all team
members contribute to the development of that value.
Key Accountabilities
- Work within operational budgets
You will be apprised of your budgets from time to time by management. Operating
campaigns within budget is a fundamental and essential part of the position.
- Meet KPIs as directed from time to time
You will be apprised of your KPIs from time to time by management. Meeting KPIs on an
ongoing basis is a fundamental and essential part of the position.
- Review KPI's
You will be required to review your teams KPI's from time to time and provide team training
to improve KPI's if required
Specific Duties of the Position
- Manage the day to day servicing of each allocated client.
You will ensure that the practical aspects of each campaign are attended to. This will include
duties such as allocating personnel to campaign-related tasks, requisitioning media, placing
advertising, managing bookings, ensuring the availability of equipment and collateral
necessary to meet KPIs, diary management, planning daily and weekly objectives,
communicating these to your teams, then conducting effective supervision to ensure
objectives are met. You will be required to research and plan event space for clients at
promotion events/expositions relevant to the product based around the current target
market .
- Engage in relationship building with key stakeholders
You will coordinate between management, clients, client-suppliers, external service
providers, advertisers, media providers and team members to support campaign
development. You will be engaging in relation to all aspects of campaign strategy (outlined it
item number 10, below).
- Develop and recommend strategies to foster successful promotions and client brand
advancement
You will be making recommendations on brand development, advertising strategies,
demographics, brand awareness issues, channel marketing and the overall effectiveness
verses cost efficacy of campaigns. You will give constructive feedback on products, services,
pricing, targeting and channels. You will advise on current market trends and how to
implement new strategies to ensure ongoing brand development and keep up with
consumer demand/trends.
As the opportunities arise you may be given responsibility for running test campaigns to
assess the potential demand for products and the viability of potential campaign
approaches.
- Plan and coordinate advertising and marketing campaigns in accord with client objectives
You will evaluate strategies and proposals for campaigns, determine which are likely to yield
the best results (both in terms of a client's sales and achieving brand development), then put
these strategies into action by leveraging the skills of your teams. As a campaign develops
you will collaborate with team members and stakeholders for new ideas on marketing
opportunities to achieve KPIs and brand development. All plans and activities must be
focussed on the primary purpose of meeting the client's stated objectives for the campaign.
- Commission market research as required
Ordinarily we conduct our own market research or rely upon that provided by the client or a
stakeholder. You will Research new markets and methods to market client based on client
targets and current trends. On occasion you will be required to source market research data
from external sources.
- Direct advertisement placement and timing
You will be required to develop lively social media events and campaigns. You may be
required to use multimedia knowledge and skills to achieve this.
You will from time to time be required to develop or contribute to the development of
conventional advertising (including online advertising and hardcopy promotional materials
such as signage and B2B portfolios) including copy, artwork and placement and do so within
an operational budget. You will liaise with the client to assist in building suitable advertising
material, content development and graphics based on trends in current market.
- Train and mentor the marketing team to maximize productivity
You will mentor team members in a professional manner to ensure the development and
growth of your teams and maximize their productivity. You will ensure your teams are across
all advertising, trends and changes. You will run workshops on campaign direction and
performance, techniques, policies and target objectives.
- Coordinate the work of junior marketing personnel and consultants & recruit as required
You will oversee tasks completed by juniors to ensure they have been completed to the
correct standard and assist with on-boarding from time to time.
- Gather results and analyse data both during and post campaign, for effectiveness and
process improvements
You will collect and analyse market data throughout the progression of each campaign. You
determine what data is required and allocate team members to collect that data and report
to you. You will order reports from finance and HR to compare to market data and assess
the overall effectiveness of the campaign for the client, and it's cost effectiveness to the
company. In particular you will be collating and analysing of sales and reject data in order to
revise/improve campaigns.
- Report on campaign performance and demographic trends
You will Track all targets, objectives and KPI's on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly
basis, taking action as required to implement a change to ensure KPIs and client
expectations are met by campaigns. You will report on trends identified by the campaign
data, and how these trends can be used to improve campaign performance in future. You
will be analysing performance data across all territories and demographics based on the
previous quarter to predict future performance data and asses if territory and/or
demographic should be cut from future campaign planning.
- Develop and recommend new strategies to respond to changed market circumstances
You will conduct ongoing reviews of market and consumer trends/needs to ensure effective
promotion of clients brand/product/service. You will develop and recommend new/revised
strategies to adjust campaigns to market forces and maintain momentum.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Relevant to the Position
Relevant university education at bachelor degree level or higher, or equivalent experience.
Industry experience (brand marketing, communications, marketing, advertising) is an
advantage for a candidate relying on qualifications.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Understanding of related information sensitive industries such as FMCG, finance, healthcare,
and legal is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development of self and others.
Other Requirements
- Travel, both interstate and international, are an occasional aspect of this role. Travel, as
required, for market research opportunities, upskilling business workshops, networking, and
client meetings.
- Attendance at certain industry conferences and events is expected, some of which may
occur outside of standard work hours.
- After-hours work may be required on an ad hoc basis in order to fulfil the responsibilities of
the position.
