South Pacific Seeds is seeking an enthusiastic agronomist to join our specialist seed production team based in Griffith NSW.
SPS is an Australian owned company producing and marketing high quality seed for export and domestic markets. Due to expansion in our business, we are seeking a motivated agronomist to join us in Griffith to assist with servicing our seed crops in the Riverina and Northern Victoria.
The focus of this role is providing high quality agronomic advice and service to our growers. It is a hands-on role involved in all elements of seed production.
Key attributes of the individual include:
- Agronomic Experience preferably in seed production &/or horticulture & cropping systems.
- Have a "hands on" approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good time management and problem-solving skills.
- Computer knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of small passionate team.
- Opportunity for overseas travel
- Graduates would be considered for this role.
The position offers an interesting and varied role working with a large range of vegetable species from seeding through to harvest and with great long term career potential.
We are particularly seeking an agronomist with experience in the production of seed or grain crops, with a hands on and can-do attitude.
An attractive and industry competitive salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate and includes participation in the company bonus scheme. A fully maintained vehicle is included in the package along with phone & laptop.
