The Role

We're looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our tree services business. You'll be the go-to person for scheduling, logistics, quoting, team management, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys leading a team, solving problems, and driving high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Scheduling

  • Coordinate daily workflows, crew assignments, and job scheduling
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Maintain equipment and resource allocation plans

Quoting & Job Costing

  • Visit sites, follow up leads, and prepare accurate quotes
  • Enter quotes into the system and monitor job profitability
  • Proactively reach out for new leads to grow the business client base

Team Leadership

  • Support and mentor crew members
  • Lead weekly team meetings and drive positive culture
  • Identify and organise training as needed

Customer & Quality Focus

  • Uphold high standards of workmanship and service
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all operations meet industry safety standards
  • Conduct regular safety checks and lead a safety-first culture

Reporting & KPIs

  • Track key metrics and prepare weekly performance reports
  • Ensure targets for margin, turnaround times, and quality are met

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
