The Company & Role
We are partnering with a global distribution and services organisation operating across multiple regions with strong international footprint across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Latin America. Positioned as a strategic partner to leading global brands, the business supports growth through logistics, marketing, and customer service excellence.
The Senior Financial Accountant will act as the 2IC to the Financial Controller and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and driving process improvements across the finance function. You will be a hands-on technical expert while also partnering with stakeholders across operations and group finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, statutory reports, and group submissions
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and intercompany transactions
- Support tax compliance, including BAS, FBT, GST, and liaise with external advisors where required
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and reporting systems
- Partner with commercial finance and operational teams to provide financial insights and analysis
- Support external audits and ensure adherence to corporate governance requirements
Your Profile
- CA/CPA qualified with 4-6 years' experience, ideally starting in a Big 4 / mid-tier firm and progressing into commercial roles
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, consolidations, statutory reporting)
- Experience within complex, multinational businesses highly regarded
- Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a continuous improvement mindset
