About the role:

We're looking for a strategic and hands on
National Agronomy Manager
to lead the development and execution of agronomy strategies across our Australian operations.

As the bridge between growers, factory teams, and business leadership, you'll champion data driven decision making, innovation in sustainable farming, and continuous improvement across our supply chain.

This role will be based at our new state of the art site at Orchard Hills

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Drive excellence by developing and implement national agronomy strategies to enhance crop performance and quality ensuring alignment with Intersnack's mission to deliver high quality sustainably sourced ingredients
  • Act as a key contact for the Australian Executive Team, providing regular updates on agronomy initiatives, supply chain status, and demand planning.
  • Working with Procurement and legal, lead grower contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with company policies and delegation approvals
  • Build long-term partnerships with growers by negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small, high-performing agronomy team.
  • Conduct regular reviews of suppliers and growers to ensure performance, compliance, and alignment with company expectations.

What you'll bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in a senior agronomy role over 10 years with a strong emphasis on strategy, team leadership, and grower engagement.
  • Deep understanding of crop varieties, regional agricultural practices, and defect reduction strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with experience managing grower contracts and approvals.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing staff
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present insights to executive-level audiences.
