About the role

KUKA Robotics Australia, a leading provider of industrial automation solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Rowville, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving sales of our state-of-the-art robotics and automation systems, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and technical expertise.

What you'll be doing

  1. Provide proactive technical and commercial support to the sales team
  2. Provide comprehensive technical demonstrations and consultations to customers, ensuring they understand the capabilities and benefits of our robotic solutions
  3. Prepare detailed proposals and quotations, tailoring our offerings to meet each customer's unique requirements
  4. Collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to stay up-to-date on the latest technological developments
  5. Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for further business
  6. Attend industry events and trade shows to showcase our products and solutions
  7. Contribute to the overall sales and business development strategy for KUKA Robotics Australia

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales or application engineering role, preferably within the robotics or automation industry
  2. Strong technical aptitude and understanding of industrial automation technologies, including robotics, CNC machines, and other manufacturing equipment
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers from diverse backgrounds
  4. Problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to identify and deliver tailored solutions
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  6. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  7. Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with unrestricted work rights
  8. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
  9. Experience with CRM systems - Salesforce preferred
