About the role - 2 Positions Available

As a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) for Okuma Australia Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services for Okuma's state-of-the-art CNC machine tools. Based in Rowville, VIC, this full-time role is essential in ensuring our customers' machinery operates at peak performance and productivity.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues on Okuma CNC machine tools
  • Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance and repair services on customer machinery
  • Providing on-site support and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of Okuma equipment
  • Liaising with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Documenting all work performed and maintaining accurate service records
  • Collaborating with the wider Okuma technical support team to share knowledge and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Qualified "A-Grade" electrician (mandatory)
  • Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent, would be highly considered
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service or maintenance role, preferably within the industrial CNC machinery or manufacturing sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, electronic and PLC control systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, as required
  • A flexible, adaptable and team-oriented approach
