The Picture

This is the next step for someone who wants to learn safety properly, on a live, complex build with structure, support, and mentorship.

You'll be part of a site team delivering a major multi-residential project, working alongside an experienced Safety Manager and Project team who'll invest in your development. It's the ideal role to build real on-site experience, learn best-practice systems, and grow into a confident Safety Advisor.

The Role

Supporting the site team, you'll help implement and monitor all health, safety, and environmental processes on a high-rise construction project. Each day you'll be involved in inspections, inductions, toolbox talks, SWMS reviews, and incident reporting, gaining hands-on experience in how proactive safety is built from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and monitoring Safety Management Plans
  • Conduct inspections, task observations, and hazard identification
  • Support toolbox talks, SWMS reviews, and safety briefings
  • Manage site inductions for new personnel and subcontractors
  • Track compliance through digital safety systems (e.g. Hammertech, Procore)
  • Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Maintain clean, accurate WHS records and registers
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills
  • Reinforce safe work practices and communication across the site

You

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or currently studying)
  • Construction White Card
  • Basic understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices
  • Exposure to construction environments (placement, internship, or trade experience) desirable
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Tech-friendly and comfortable learning compliance platforms
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow into a future Safety Advisor
