About the role

As the first point of contact for People and Culture (P&C) services, the Employee Experience Advisor is the go-to person who shapes the daily experience of our dedicated employees As part of our Employee Experience team, you'll be the friendly face and problem-solver, directly contributing to a positive and thriving work environment where everyone feels supported and valued. A crucial element of this role involves providing accurate and practical first line support and guidance on People & Culture matters, which requires a solid understanding of relevant industrial awards or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the welcoming first point of contact, expertly guiding our team through their P&C queries with insightful and timely advice.
  • Triage and assess enquiries to determine appropriate actions or escalation pathways.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our talented P&C team and across portfolios to conquer complex issues and ensure smooth resolutions.
  • Maintain accountability for the completion of all employee queries and issues raised.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes including drafting job advertisements, coordinating interviews, and preparing employment contracts.
  • Be an ambassador for TAFE SA, creating a fantastic experience for every employee through proactive communication and professional support.
  • Manage administrative tasks associated with a seamless onboarding experience, managing the administrative details that make our new starters, and current employees feel welcome and prepared.
  • Maintain accurate HR records that contribute to insightful reporting and ensure our compliance.

About You

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Sound judgment in assessing and prioritising tasks and queries.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment in assessing and prioritising tasks and queries effectively.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with industrial awards or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply the information in scenario-based situations.
  • Proven experience in HR, recruitment, or a customer service environment, showcasing transferable skills.

Contract length

Initial contract will be up to 27 February 2026.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • Intrastate and interstate travel with overnight absences may be required.
  • Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
