Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Client Account Manager to join our Sydney office working with the Head of Business Development, Zac Robinson.

About the role

The role supports the firm's Strategic Account Management program and will involve acting as a relationship manager to key clients in the Insurance sector.

Working closely with the Client Relationship Partners for each client, relevant legal service teams across multiple Practice Groups, and the wider Business Development team, you will act as the voice of the clients to the firm. Primary objectives include maintaining long term relationships in line with strategic client plans; co-ordinating and project managing complex client initiatives across the firm; and developing complexity in the client relationship through cross-practice multi-jurisdictional growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage key client plans that are aligned with firm strategy and report to senior leadership on client performance and strategic plan execution.

  • Track pipeline opportunities and take an active leadership role in all quotes and tenders for key clients across all areas of law.

  • Map key stakeholders and monitor firm-to-client interactions and activity.

  • Where appropriate, serve as the lead point of contact for the client on non-legal issues for the client.

  • Work closely with Business Development and Marketing team members on the execution of relationship activities, including events, thought leadership campaigns, and practice-specific activities ensuring quality control in all marketing and business development communications to the client.

  • Work with partners and legal teams to ensure consistent service delivery and provide training and development to legal working teams on client needs and preferences.

About you

  • Must have an understanding and experience in client relationship management within a law firm or other professional services environment.

  • Experience in or understanding of the insurance industry is advantageous.

  • Have a proactive, client first approach with strong commercial awareness.

  • A genuine interest in keeping up to date on clients' industry trends.

  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
