What you can expect in a day in the role:

Our passionate culinary team is seeking a creative, dedicated, and enthusiastic Dessert Chef to craft exquisite, sweet creations that delight our guests at the renowned Country Club Tasmania.

As a valued member of our team, you'll be creating elegant desserts for our different Kitchens across the property. No two days will be the same, but your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and plating a variety of high-quality desserts and sweet treats, including pastry
  • Executing seasonal dessert menus with creativity and precision
  • Maintaining a clean and organised pastry section to the highest hygiene standards
  • Ensuring consistency in presentation and taste across all service periods
  • Supporting the team with closing procedures and preparation

What you'll bring to the role:

To succeed in this role, you'll be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, while confidently handling the physical demands of the position. Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and bring:

  • A motivated and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine passion for desserts, with proven experience in pastry and commercial dessert preparation
  • Strong communication and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and follow recipes with excellent detail

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
