As the group continues to expand their development pipeline through new approvals and acquisition opportunities, they are looking to engage a capable and motivated Development Manager or experienced Assistant Development Manager to join the team. This highly respected property developer is a family-owned business with a long history in the development industry. They have interests across Australia and a property development portfolio focused on land development in Southeast Queensland and that also includes significant commercial and townhouse developments with a national footprint. Working across projects about to commence and projects underway in key SE QLD growth corridors, you'll play a primary role in the delivery of these urban developments.

The Role

This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on exposure and responsibility across the full project lifecycle. It's ideal for someone who has obtained sufficient industry experience and knowledge and is now looking to step up to the next level and accelerate their career. Your background might include exposure to civil construction as a Project Engineer or Project Manager, client-side consulting, or in a development role in land development.

Reporting to the group's leadership and working alongside an experienced development and consulting team, your role will include involvement in project feasibilities, design development, authority approvals, and the delivery of civil and infrastructure works. You will also have key input into the planning support for sales and project releases.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Management of all consultants and contractors
  • Managing timelines, budgets, and project documentation
  • Preparing reports and contributing to stakeholder engagement
  • Build and maintain detailed feasibility models, including scenario testing to support decision-making
  • Supporting end-to-end project delivery - civil, landscaping, built-form construction

Experience

We're seeking someone with 5+ years of property development industry experience. You may have been recently or currently be working as an Assistant or Junior Development Manager on large land subdivisions. Ideally you will have a background from a related industry such as civil engineering, construction, or planning in either the private or public sectors. Most importantly, you bring:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
