The Role

Our Docklands office is the hub for our corporate functions within the Bega Cheese Group. Freshly renovated and looking brand new, you'll enjoy lots of natural light and great facilities to take advantage of including a fully stocked fridge loaded with a range of Bega products We are right next door to Marvel stadium and some of Melbourne's best restaurants, cafes and bars.

We have a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension for a Materials Planner to join the planning team. This role is to support the Supply Chain in executing the production plan by replenishing materials to our factories. This dynamic contract role will play a key part in ensuring our manufacturing sites have the right materials, in the right place, at the right time. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced supply chain environment and help deliver on our Customer Service Promise. We're seeking someone who brings energy to the team, who will be able to foster a culture of collaboration, respect and support.

This position is a hybrid role working from our Docklands office and from home.

Responsibilities

  • Manage replenishment of ingredients and packaging materials to support production plans.

  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels based on production needs, contracts, and warehouse capacity.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing sites to resolve material-related issues.

  • Identify and communicate risks related to material availability and lifecycle.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional teams.

About You

  • Experienced in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.

  • Skilled in ERP systems and data management, with strong planning and time management abilities.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • A clear communicator who builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Passionate about problem-solving and delivering customer-focused solutions.
