About the role
Join our growing team at BuildSkills Australia as a People and Culture (P&C) Coordinator. This full-time, hybrid role is based in our head office in Newstead, Brisbane, with the flexibility to work partially from home, and plays a key role in supporting our people operations and enhancing the employee experience across Australia.
What you'll be doing
- Support and coordinate end-to-end management of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, L&D and off boarding
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS systems
- Assist with the coordination and execution of people-focused initiatives, including engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
- Support internal L&D & liaise with training providers
- Prepare employee documentation and assist with compliance, reporting and policy updates
- Be a trusted point of contact and provide advice on P&C policies and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and tools
- Provide general admin support, including to the Office of the CEO
What we're looking for
- Relevant degree-qualification in human resources, organisational psychology or a related field (essential)
- Min 2 years of recent experience in a generalist HR or P&C administration/ coordination role (essential)
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS (Employment Hero is a plus)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
- A positive attitude and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation is desired
