We're looking for a skilled and passionate Head Chef to join our TotalFusion Platinum Newstead team

About the Position:

• This position is suitable someone with Cafe Breakfast & Lunch experience in a fast pace environment.
• You will need to work independently, in a clean and organised manner.
• 5 day working weeks, not split shift
• Responsible for ordering, team roster, kitchen operations,
• Constant Menu development
• Hands-on role

About You:

• energetic & motivated
• experience in a similar role
• up to date with food trends, processes, and skills
• skilled in communication & leading by example / training others
• focussed on quality food preparation & presentation
• enjoy having a laugh & being creative with your team and dishes
• knowledge of HACCP and food safety guidelines
• excellent problem-solving capabilities
• ability to multi-task creating high-quality dishes under pressure
• eager to partake in ongoing on-the-job training to improve personal and team performance
• available to work Saturday and Sunday in this fast-paced position

Core Elements:

• deliver high quality food in a timely and effective manner
• supervise and coordinate activities of chefs and production employees
• maintain purchasing, receiving and storage standards, while managing budget expectations
• assist with menu planning
• follow appropriate food handling procedures to ensure temperature and hygiene control
• ensure that all standards are kept to the highest
• monitor, coach and support your team with passion and fun
• encourage individuality, innovation and initiative in your team members
• provide hands-on leadership across all service areas
