About the role

We are seeking reliable, empathetic, and caring Aged Care Support Workers to assist our clients across Metropolitan Melbourne. We currently have a high demand for carers throughout the Northern, North-Eastern, Eastern, Bayside, and Southeast suburbs. Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Assistance and support with ADLs and IADLs
  • Providing emotional & social support to the client and their family
  • Community access and shopping assistance
  • Providing respite opportunities for the family

To ensure success in this role, you should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest for supporting and helping others, whilst maintaining professionalism, dignity, and respect towards clients and their family throughout your interactions.

Qualifications & experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care), or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience as a personal carer/support worker, preferably in the aged care or community setting
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Manual Handling Certificates

Skills

  • Bi-lingual proficiency (Italian, Greek, Arabic and Hindi) highly desirable
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient, clear, and effective written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, within your scope of practice

Other requirements

  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
  • National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Australian full Drivers' Licence
  • Smart phone access for care management software app
  • Current full comprehensive insurance on your private vehicle (to be used for work purposes)
