The Business

GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP) is an end-to-end service provider for essential power and telecommunications infrastructure. We provide an integrated service delivered through four key complementary businesses to our clients in the resources, power, utilities, and telecommunications sectors across Australia.

We are seeking to recruit a valuable member to join the team at our head office in Belmont, WA for a full-time position.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Group General Manager - Finance, the Financial Accountant's responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, reconcile, review, report and lodge:
  • Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT),
  • Payroll Tax,
  • Business Activity Statement (BAS) returns,
  • TPAR and Payment Times Reporting
  • Australian Bureau of Statistics,
  • Workers Compensation, and
  • other ATO and State Revenue lodgements as required.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors for annual tax return preparation.
  • Co-ordinate international tax lodgements with accounting advisers.
  • Coordinate financial guarantee, issues, returns and renewals, including maintaining documentation and liaising with banks, brokers, commercial managers and legal advisors.
  • Assist with ESG tracking and reporting.
  • Support tax planning and ensure compliance with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) regulations
  • Assist with other Accounting matters as required.

About You:

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience interacting with a variety of high-level stakeholders, the ability to cope well in a fast-paced environment, have a flexible outlook and strong attention to detail.

Skills / Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary Accounting Degree or Qualification from registered training organisation.
  • Post Graduate Qualification (CA or CPA) or working towards.
  • Minimum 3 Years' experience in accounting role.
  • Problem solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and a strong team contributor.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, delegate, schedule, and plan.
