Your new company:
I am working exclusively with Glenray Industries, a purpose-led NFP organisation, to identify a results-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence and social impact, to manage the operations of their thriving commercial laundry—a workplace that empowers Supported Workers with a disability.What You'll Do:
- Manage the Commercial Laundry/Australian Disability Enterprise
- Oversee daily laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and support a diverse team, including Supported Employees.
- Scheduling of staff shifts and processing of timesheets
- Manage inventory levels and quality of laundry consumables.
- Training and Mentoring laundry staff
- Provide oversight on equipment cleanliness and maintenance.
- Drive strategic and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS and WHS standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work culture.
What You'll Bring:
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced production or laundry environment.
- The ability to work collaboratively with internal departments to assist Supported Employees with personal and behavioural development.
- Strong business acumen and budgeting skills, including forecasting and cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and people management abilities.
- A customer-centric approach to achieving operational outcomes.
- Commitment to empowering people with disabilities.
- Knowledge of NDIS regulations and standards and relevant government and WHS rules and legislation.
Certifications:
- NDIS Worker Clearance - mandatory
- Paid Working with Children Check - mandatory
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (car) - mandatory
- Current NSW HR Drivers Licence – mandatory
- First Aid Certificate - mandatory
- Adherence to COVID-19 legislation for the Disability Sector - mandatory
- Hold or be immediately eligible, capable and willing to obtain a Forklift Licence within 2 months
- Hold or be immediately eligible, capable and willing to obtain a Confined Space Entry qualification within 2 months.
- Ability & willingness to work at least 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, rostered shifts, and with different starting & finishing times and which may include weekends and/or public holidays.
Desirable: Experience in disability services or commercial laundry qualifications in Business/Management.
