We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support and enhance data warehouse and analytics capabilities within a complex Australian Federal Government environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring high performance, secure data management, and effective collaboration across technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple technical teams across the organisation and other stakeholders to deliver data engineering solutions.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation of data models, dimensional models, ETL processes, and related artefacts.
  • Monitor and optimise data warehouse performance through indexing, partitioning, aggregation, and other performance-enhancing techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to data management policies, quality standards, and data governance frameworks.
  • Implement and manage data security measures including access control, encryption, and privacy compliance, in collaboration with security teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in ETL development, Data modelling and Database management.
  • Strong ICT expertise, with proven ability to work across complex enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous experience working in or with Federal Government clients (preferred).
