ASO7 $108,109 to $116,864 pa + superannuationAt the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, we are connecting South Australia to keep our State moving. We are responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transformative transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city's public transport network.
Public Transport South Australia (PTSA) is committed to providing well-connected and customer-focused services for mass transit movements that can be delivered safely, efficiently, and sustainably. At PTSA, we deliver an improved public transport experience through enhanced communication capabilities, improved network efficiency, and responsiveness to customer demand. We partner with our transport operators to deliver the services that our customers need, when they need them.
The OpportunityPublic Transport South Australia (PTSA) has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Operational Risk Advisor to lead safety risk management across the state's public transport network.
In this key role, you will help ensure our services are delivered safely and efficiently by identifying, analysing and managing public transport operational and functional safety risks --not financial risks typically associated with banking or insurance. You will work closely with leaders and technical teams to strengthen our Safety Management System (SMS), drive continuous improvement and build a strong, risk-aware culture across PTSA.
If you have experience in safety, transport, engineering or other operational environments, and want to make a genuine impact on public safety, we'd like to hear from you.
About YouYou are a safety-focused professional with proven experience in functional and safety system management --ideally within transport, infrastructure or other high-risk industries. You bring analytical thinking, sound judgement and a practical understanding of how risks affect day-to-day operations.
You are confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from engineers to executives, and providing expert advice that supports informed decision-making. Collaborative and proactive, you communicate clearly, influence effectively and help teams manage risk with purpose and confidence.
