Full-time Formwork Carpenter Needed

Apex Formwork is a formwork and concrete specialist in Melbourne and on the Mornington peninsula.  We work with a select group of high-end builders and developers on residential, commercial and industrial projects.  We have recently been awarded several new projects and we are seeking a full-time formwork carpenter.

Ideally, the successful candidate

·       will have demonstrated and proven experience (minimum 2 years) in all types of formwork including suspended slabs, capping beams, bored piers, columns, stairs and steps, in-situ walls, planters, lift and stair lids

·       will be able to erect framework and props using hand tools, nails and other equipment (impact drivers, grinder, hammer, drills, levels)

·       will be extremely reliable, punctual, and flexible

·       will have worked on commercial, industrial and residential projects

·       will be familiar with proprietary systems such as Doka, Peri, Stairmaster, pre-formed rebates, form liners/board form

·       will be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and select appropriate formwork/timber

·       will have full Australian driver licence and own transport, and be willing to work across multiple sites around Melbourne and Mornington peninsula

·       will have White card, work safely at heights, other tickets helpful

·       will have Full Australian work rights

·       will understand the importance of representing Apex Formwork appropriately, and meeting or exceeding our expectations regarding quality of work, site conditions, relationships etc.

·       will be willing to work regular overtime shifts and weekends due to the nature of our work.

·       will be willing to commit to the company on a long-term basis. We are committed to employing local workers.

·       will understand and adhere to Victorian/Australian workplace health and safety framework

·       will have excellent communication skills

Please note, this is not for the inexperienced or anyone new to formwork.  Formwork experience 2 years minimum.
