The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual for a 'learn on the job' Joinery Designer role. You will play a critical role in bringing our clients' visions to life. You'll be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the creation of custom joinery pieces, from initial concept to the finished product. This is a Part-time position that includes working a shared roster on Saturday's (until midday), located in our Salisbury showroom.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients through the entire design process, From initial concept development to spatial planning and colour consultations, all within our showroom.
  • Site Measures - Own mode of transport is required.
  • Working effectively as a team to achieve monthly sales targets.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Maintain a professional manner and polished presentation.
  • Demonstrate remarkable design creativity, a keen eye for colour, and an exceptional level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Experience using CAD based design software.
  • Previous design industry experience is desirable.
  • The ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
  • Clear communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a strong problem-solving attitude
  • Be willing to learn product knowledge and keep up to date with industry trends.
  • Understanding of measuring and conceptual planning.
