The Role:
As we continue to grow and evolve, we're looking for a HR Generalist to join our team and help shape the employee experience. If you're a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working across a range of HR functions and looking to make a real impact, this could be the perfect role for you
Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering HR support across all areas of the business. Your key duties will be:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies and handling employee queries
- Mediate minor workplace disputes and foster positive relationships
- Support and coach managers in handling low-level performance or conduct issues
- Support internal training programs and coordinate professional development opportunities
- Assist in performance review processes and support managers with performance improvement plans
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, including social events and engagement surveys
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and assist in updating HR policies
- Provide HR advice to managers, assist with workforce planning, and keep HR documentation up to date
- Provide support to the finance team in managing payroll processes and related activities
About You:
- 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role
- Proven experience in advising employees and managers on HR policies, employment laws, and best practices
- Background in start-up or scale-up businesses, bringing agility and a growth-focused mindset
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills to handle sensitive situations
- A hands-on, adaptable approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with a process-driven mindset
- Solutions focused with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected challenges
- Experience in planning and executing HR projects, such as policy rollouts or training programs.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
