Company Overview
Join a Sydney based Insurance provider to build out their first independent corporate governance function. They have recently implemented a new GRC tool and require oversight of all Group policies including Risk, Finance, Technology and Claims.

Role Overview

  • Build and embed a group-wide Policy registry, ensuring compliance with APRA standards
  • Migrate policy governance framework to the GRC system
  • Partner with policy owners to update, expand or retire policies and knowledge artefacts
  • Implement discipline and rigour to policy review cycles

In this standalone role, you will collaborate closely with Risk and People and Culture. This role will present to various Risk, Compliance and Audit Committees, and ensure awareness following new Board appointments.

Skills & Experience

  • Internal policy management experience in an APRA regulated entity - FS or Insurance
  • Minimum of 4 years of APRA-related company secretary, legal or compliance experience

This could be a great role for a Company Secretary who is passionate about policy management and drafting, and less minute-taking. You are self-sufficient, relish simplifying a complex problem and are effective in providing plain English guidance. You have a high attention to detail and enjoy finding commonalities between various departments' priorities.
