Join a trusted and respected industry leader, where safety, teamwork and excellence are at the core of everything we do. We're seeking a hands-on, proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our site's maintenance function and drive continuous improvement in reliability, safety, and performance.
About the Role
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a key leadership role in managing the site's preventative and breakdown maintenance programs. You will oversee all maintenance planning, scheduling and execution through the MEX system, ensuring our plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standard to support operational targets.
Your day-to-day will involve coordinating maintenance activities, supervising a small team and contractors, driving Manufacturing Excellence initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards. You'll also support capital projects and provide input into maintenance budgeting and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preventative maintenance program and delegate maintenance tasks effectively.
- Set up, schedule and maintain all maintenance activities and records in MEX.
- Plan and implement weekly maintenance schedules in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance for fixed and mobile plant equipment.
- Lead and coach maintenance staff and contractors to deliver a high standard of work.
- Conduct fault finding, problem solving and perform hands-on maintenance when required.
- Manage maintenance budgets, including setting, forecasting and cost control.
- Maintain spare parts inventory, ensuring critical stock levels are set and maintained.
- Promote and lead a strong safety culture, ensuring all SOPs, JSA's, permits and risk assessments are in place.
- Contribute to site capital planning and Manufacturing Excellence initiatives.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and a passion for continuous improvement. You'll be comfortable balancing hands-on maintenance work with planning and supervision.
You will have:
- Trade qualifications in mechanical fitting, boilermaking or similar.
- Proven experience in maintenance supervision or leading a maintenance team.
- Solid knowledge of preventative maintenance systems (MEX experience highly regarded).
- Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance budgets.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Why Join Us
- Work with a supportive and values-driven team where Safety, Excellence, Ownership and Teamwork are more than just words.
- Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and capital projects.
- Competitive remuneration and the chance to make a real impact at site level.
- Be part of a stable and respected organisation with long-term career opportunities.
