About the Position

We're on the lookout for a passionate and driven C# Software Developer to join our close-knit Software Development Team at modern and well appointed Head Office, in Stapylton, right at the northern edge of the stunning Gold Coast.

In this role, you'll dive into the full development lifecycle of our cutting-edge engineering software, working on projects that make a difference. You won't just be writing code—you'll be shaping smarter, faster, and more efficient tools used across real-world engineering environments.

We're after someone who's not just technically skilled, but genuinely excited about building better software. You'll thrive on collaboration, jump at the chance to take ownership of your work, and constantly look for ways to innovate.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • The interpretation of specifications;

  • Hands on design, development, test and implementation of software solutions;

  • Participate in agile practices to deliver high quality software;

  • Participate in code reviews and assist team members to improve in performance;

  • Write technical documentation, test cases and unit tests;

  • Regularly use modern source control software and build practices;

Communicate with technical development staff over requirements and issues related to new products;

  • Provide support to technical support staff and other staff;

  • Employ a high level of communication skills (verbal & written); and

  • Work as part of our team providing solutions to our customers.

Key Selection Criteria

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and knows how to turn great ideas into solid, working code. We're looking for a developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET, building commercial applications that solve real problems. If you've got a track record of delivering quality software and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we want to hear from you.

You will also possess:

  • IT degree, or equivalent computing qualifications;

  • A good understanding of geometry and trigonometry and a working knowledge of mathematics;

  • Good arithmetic reasoning and a high level of problem-solving abilities;

  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues;

  • Knowledge of the Windows environment;

  • In depth knowledge object-orientation;

  • Knowledge of source code management.

Additional selection criteria are desirable but not essential:

  • Experience using Open Design Alliance's Teigha software development platform;

  • DevExpress experience;

  • Experience developing in other high-level programming languages;

  • Development in an industry standard reporting system;

  • An understanding of engineering terms and the building industry;

  • Experience in CAD and/or graphics development.
