QSG is a locally owned and operated business consultancy firm based in Townsville. We are currently seeking an Entry-level Health and Safety Administrator to join our team.

This is a permanent full-time position and would be suited to individuals who are highly motivated, self-driven and have an interest in learning. Note this position will primarily be office based at our Townsville Head Office in an administrative capacity with an opportunity for future growth.

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia and a valid drivers licence.

Key Responsibilities

As an entry-level position the successful candidate/s will support various teams and functions within our business to gain exposure across our services including, but not limited to;

  • Prepare, edit, and format documents and correspondence using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Provide respirator fit testing (RFT) services, including scheduling, client communication, compliance tracking, and reporting, with training provided.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and training in Management Systems to meet quality, environmental and health & safety standards.
  • Providing support to clients in preparing, achieving, and maintaining accreditation with regulatory bodies (such as ISO, TMR, OFSC, DIPL, PQC, NHVR).
  • Provide support to consultants / senior consultants in achieving client and project deliverables as required.
  • Undertake administrative and operational support tasks as required to contribute to the smooth functioning of the business.

Reliable transport to/from work and a current drivers' licence is required for this role (access to a company/hire vehicle will be made available for work-related travel only).

Important: This role requires away travel to client offices / projects throughout Australia (primarily Queensland).

Your Experience

Whilst no specific experience is required for this role, we are seeking individuals who have strong communication skills, are comfortable with engaging with clients, have a willingness to learn/participate in formal training and are self-motivated with a drive to excel in their professional development.

Key Requirements

  • Strong computer acumen and reasonable typing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly; Word and Outlook)
  • Good communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to a strict deadline.
  • Presents self for a suitable commercial environment.

Mandatory Qualifications / Licences

  • Year 12 Certificate.
  • High-level English.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety desirable but no necessary (successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain qualifications at the end of the probation period)
