Job Summary

Kuroki Teppanyaki is a vibrant and sophisticated Japanese restaurant located in Sanctuary Cove, Gold Coast. We are passionate about food, service, and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Supervisor to oversee daily operations, lead the team, and maintain the highest standards of service and hospitality. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with a background in Japanese or Asian cuisine. Sponsorship visa opportunities are available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee rostering, shift management, and staff performance.
  • Support the Head Chef and kitchen team in maintaining smooth service flow.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve service issues professionally.
  • Assist in planning promotions, events, and overall business growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of Japanese or Asian cuisine preferred (Teppanyaki experience an advantage).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional presentation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Full Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship visa..

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
