Our team

The Parks and Wildlife Service at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) manages over 34 million hectares of national parks, marine parks, conservation reserves, State forests and other reserves throughout Western Australia. In addition, we are responsible for the management of fire mitigation, weeds and feral animals on another 91 million hectares of unallocated Crown land.

About this role

As Regional Manager Goldfields you will:

  • Support and nurture a culture of safety, teamwork, comradery, professionalism and instil a can-do attitude in your team.
  • Oversee the management of over 10 million hectares of conservation estate and provide leadership, support and guidance to approximately 40 staff.
  • Lead and support extensive engagement with Traditional Owners, key stakeholders, and leaders in regional communities.
  • Ensure that service delivery aligns with complex and diverse strategic and business priorities.
  • Oversee fire and visitor risk programs and incident management, as well as participate in a rostered duty officer role.

The Regional Manager Goldfields is one of nine regional managers across Western Australia that support the Executive Director Regional and Fire Management Services to deliver integrated frontline and operational services and programs across the State.
