About the Role:

We're seeking an energetic all-rounder to join our team at the Haberfield Hotel. The role covers guest services, housekeeping and bar shifts, offering variety and hands-on experience. This could suit someone who wants to grow their knowledge and build a career in the hotel industry.

Key responsibilities include:

Reception

  • Managing check-ins, check-outs and guest enquiries
  • Handling reservations, phone calls and emails
  • Providing local knowledge and guest support
  • Processing payments and balancing the till
  • Coordinating with housekeeping

Bar

  • Serving drinks
  • Understanding RSA polices
  • Serving bar snacks
  • Open and close Bar

Housekeeping

  • Stripping of beds
  • Servicing Rooms
  • Checkout Departure Cleaning

Requirements:

  • Exposure to Housekeeping and F&B experience will be highly regarded.
  • Computer Skills: It is essential that you are familiar with MS Office applications.  (Word, Basic Excel, Microsoft Outlook, attaching documents to email, basic formulas on existing Excel worksheets)
  • RMS9+ (Reservations Software) experience preferred but not necessary - full training provided.
  • Passion: A can-do attitude and a genuine passion for guest experience.
  • Adherence to Company policies: Able to follow our well-established policies and procedures across the departments.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work weekends, including public holidays and school holidays.
  • Certificates – Current RSA, plus First Aid or willing to obtain.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous reception, front desk or customer service experience (hospitality preferred)
  • A friendly, professional phone and in-person manner
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using booking/reservation systems (RMS preferred)
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
  • Reception

    Mornings :45am – 12:45pm

Afternoons :45pm - 21:00pm

  • Housekeeping

    Mornings 8:30am - 2:00pm (approx.)
