Office Manager – Accounting & Tax Office – West Footscray VIC
Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a friendly, local accounting and tax office based in West Footscray VIC. This office offers a broad suite of financial services, from individual and business tax returns to bookkeeping, BAS preparation, regulatory compliance for tax, payroll activities, and SMSF support.
This firm is now seeking a qualified, experienced, and organised Office Manager to oversee daily operations, support our team, and ensure the smooth running of administrative systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, professional environment, values accuracy and discretion, and enjoys being the central hub of a busy office.
Salary – A great salary is offered in the range of $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum.
Tenure – Full time and ongoing.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage all administrative and operational tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Handle client inquiries and maintain professional relationships.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable and assist with payroll.
- Support the accounting team with general administrative duties.
- Ensure office supplies and equipment are maintained.
- Implement and improve office policies and procedures.
- Liaise with accountants and external professionals to coordinate business operations.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and relevant government policies.
- Maintain office equipment, supplies, and IT coordination.
- Contribute to planning and review of office services and standards.
You will need to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered:
- Diploma in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1 or more years' experience in office management, preferably within accounting or professional services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) is highly regarded.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Proficiency in managing basic financial tasks, including accounts receivable and payable, and a strong attention to detail.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
