About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team at Central Cleaning Supplies (Aust) Pty Ltd in our West Footscray, VIC office. This full-time position will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable and credit control processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments
  • Upload invoices and PODs into customer portals including ARIBA, Coupa, and other relevant platforms.
  • Maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable, including customer statements and aging reports
  • Resolving customer billing inquiries and disputes in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with the preparation of month-end reports and reconciliations
  • Prepare regular AR aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Providing support for the month-end close process
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience in an accounts receivable or credit control role, preferably within the wholesale or manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles, processes, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations diplomatically
  • Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and resolve issues
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively across different departments
