About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, your responsibilities include providing trauma-informed counselling and emotional support, conducting intake assessments, developing therapeutic case plans, delivering psychoeducation, and offering advocacy and warm referrals to community services. You will also maintain accurate client records, contribute to program effectiveness through reporting and evaluation, promote services to stakeholders, and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure best practice in supporting clients impacted by the National Redress Scheme and the Forced Adoption Support Service.

This role is located at Melbourne CBD and is a temporary full-time role working. The base salary range is $98,027 - $105,084 (pro-rata) per annum.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, counselling, or social work, with demonstrated experience in trauma Informed counselling, trauma recovery, therapeutic case management, and advocacy.
  • Comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed care and the impacts of childhood trauma, with experience supporting individuals and families affected by complex trauma and abuse.
  • Highly developed communication and crisis management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Current Victorian driver's licence and own vehicle required.
