An opportunity currently exists for a Production Manager, based at our Kingsgrove site on a full-time permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to supervise, coordinate production operations and to work in the lead role as the Production Manager of the Day Shift with additional scheduling and Bulk Delivery responsibility across the site. The aim is to achieve and continuously improve the manufacturing performance of the plant by reducing waste and scrap, while improving and maintaining quality to maximise overall site productivity.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Build and manage the daily/weekly production schedule with the National Planner, adjust to meet demand and optimise costs.
  • Manage production line operations to ensure smooth, efficient running and that production schedules are met during the shift.
  • Establish guidelines for delivery time commitments.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to respond to market/production requirements and optimise costs.
  • Follow site/company guidelines on Quality System and HACCP procedures and policies.
  • React as appropriate to WH&S, quality and HACCP issues relating to product and/or personnel.
  • Analyse and understand manufacturing measure output data and develop concepts in conjunction with the team to improve site performance.
  • Ensure reports are submitted on time.
  • Investigate and report on all production-based Quality issues impacting the site.
  • Responsible for developing manufacturing skills and capability within their shift and managing succession plans.
  • Motivating and coaching the team to achieve targets set in manufacturing.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • 5-10 years' experience in a production environment (food manufacturing highly desirable).
  • 3-5 years Leadership and Team Management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • ERP system experience, preferably in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar systems like SAP.
