Role details

The Food and Linen Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Food Services Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

  • To assist in the provision of a high-quality nutrition and food service to patients/clients of Mackay Base Hospital.
  • This position will be responsible for a 7-day week support service, providing patient meals.  It is a support role to Menu Monitors, Cooks, Dietitians, Speech Pathologists, Team Leader, Supervisor and Manager of Food and Linen Services.

About the Team

The Mackay Hospital provides a comprehensive healthcare environment that has been designed with a patient friendly approach to layout and location of services. Food Services provides approximately 200 meals three times a day to patients of the hospital, as well as three mid meals daily. Food is prepared using a Cook Fresh service model under strict Food Safety Guidelines.
