Role Description

This is a contract hybrid role for a Council Rates Officer at Parramatta Council. The role is located in Parramatta, NSW, with some work from home flexibility. The Council Rates Officer will be responsible for the administration and coordination of council rates and charges. This includes processing rate payments, managing ratepayer inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in rates administration, financial management, and record keeping
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of local government regulations and policies is beneficial
  • Relevant qualifications in business administration, finance, or related field is a plus
