The Embassy of Uruguay in Canberra, Australia, is seeking to fill a full-time position for an Administration and Financial Officer (38 hours per week).
The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including administrative management, event coordination, social media management, and support in the organization of events.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold permanent residency in Australia
- Proven experience in an administrative role, with a strong background in office management, scheduling, and general administrative support
- Experience in accounting is an advantage
- Experience using Canva is desirable
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English; knowledge of Spanish is desirable
Main duties include:
- Scheduling meetings and appointments, managing incoming emails and correspondence
- Processing and recording financial transactions via internal online systems
- Managing monthly filing, reporting, and registration of expenditures
- Liaising with Australian agencies regarding human resources and employer obligations
- Assisting diplomatic officials with secretarial tasks and the organisation of events
- Updating and managing information databases
- Preparing letters, notes, reports, presentations, and briefs
- Performing other administrative duties as required
