About the role

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Officer, Grants to support the development, delivery, and administration of funding programs that strengthen NSW communities.

In this role, you will contribute to research, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination—ensuring grants are delivered effectively and aligned with government objectives. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

About You

You are an organised and enthusiastic team player with a keen eye for detail and a passion for public service. You will thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Experience in grants management and/or financial administration.

  • Strong administrative and coordination skills to support project delivery and reporting.

  • Ability to work with systems and processes that ensure governance and compliance.

  • Analytical skills to conduct research and contribute to informed decision-making.

  • Clear communication skills to engage stakeholders and provide project updates.

  • Experience preparing documentation, meeting papers, and supporting committee coordination.

  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to assist across teams, especially during crisis events.

  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic team.

Essential requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant knowledge and experience.

About the Agency

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the RA) is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier's Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.

To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
