About The Royal Melbourne Mental Health Services RMH MHS:

The Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED) is a state-wide program within Victoria's public mental health service system, operating under the auspice of the Royal Melbourne Hospital - Mental Health Service. CEED's role is to support the development of a comprehensive stepped system of care for people experiencing eating disorders, their families, supports, and communities—covering all service levels and aspects of care

About The Role:

CEED is seeking a Senior Eating Disorders Lived Experience Advisor - Carer Perspective to join the team and contribute a broad carer lived experience perspective within a dynamic state-wide organisation.

As Senior Eating Disorders Lived Experience Advisor - Carer Perspective, you will:

  • Provide expert carer lived experience input to clinical case consultations and CEED clinical processes.
  • Co-produce and deliver education and training for mental health clinicians and stakeholders.
  • Support service development through policy input, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
  • Develop and disseminate resources to assist clinicians, services, and carers of people with eating disorders.
  • Foster strong partnerships with eating disorder and carer organisations to inform and improve service delivery.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in recovery-focused interventions for people with complex psychiatric needs.
  • Ability to demonstrate the values of RMH: People First, Lead with Kindess and Excellence together.
  • Experience in acute or aged care nursing, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply (desirable)
