Principal Procurement Officer

What you will be doing:
- Leading and managing the ICT procurement processes, including drafting, evaluating, and negotiating ICT contracts, to deliver required business outcomes and ensure probity and accountability of the process aligns with Queensland Procurement Policy, Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework and legislative requirements.
- In accordance with policy, proactively managing ICT contracts for renewals, delivery and performance including service level agreements, ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place to monitor performance and complaints resolved.
- Managing staff to ensure timely performance, professional conduct, improve procurement capabilities and develop, implement, and improve current practices within the team, as well as across the department.
- Prepare procurement, supplier performance and vendor management reports.
- Representing TDS in internal and external meetings/committees for procurement, contract management, vendor management and working groups including dispute resolution with vendors.
- Working closely with the Vendor Relationship Manager and other ICT experts in building relationships with new and existing suppliers, to progress the team and department's objectives.
